Sovietsleepover grew up on a goat farm in northeast Texas.
Sovietsleepover has worked in libraries & bookstores; taught computer literacy classes in a public library; taught English in a public high school in rural Japan; eaten marmot with old guys on a train traveling through Inner Mongolia; hitchhiked to the northernmost city in the world and back; flown kites in Tiananmen Square & slid down the bannister of the Great Wall of China; helped start a micropower [read: pirate] radio station; attended the Idaho Beard & Moustache Championships (as a spectator); sailed from Miami to Seattle and worked as a line handler on the Panama Canal; and scored 102 points for a single scrabble word. She is currently a graduate student in a creative writing MFA program.
