There, some part of the Middle East can be found under ''Western Asia'', some part as ''Northern Africa''. So in fact, they are not even mentioning the ''Middle East'', but use the continents for categorization. For me, this division is the most logical. Refer to this edit by Platschi here... Middle East is located not only in Western Asia, but in Northeastern Africa, too. That's why categorization IsIn|Western Asia is not right, and IsIn|Earth probably suits better.--Sigurdas 01:13, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
If no one is against it, in a few days I will categorize messy Middle East countries in this way:
- First, Category:Middle East (Asia) and Category:Middle East (Africa) will be created.
- Created categories will be included within Category:Asia and Category:Africa accordingly, and not within Category:Western Asia and similar, since Middle East region stretches from Northern Africa through Eastern Africa and Western Asia to the parts of Southern (and sometimes Central) Asia. --Sigurdas 13:43, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

- As for most continents/countries, we so far used the United Nations Statistic Division, which seems to be a quite reliable categorization for the world. There, some part of the Middle East can be found under Western Asia, some part as Northern Africa. So in fact, they are not even mentioning the Middle East, but use the continents for categorization. For me, this division is the most logical. For most of it, we already did it at Western Asia and Northern Africa. --Platschi 11:30, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
