The Siret-Porubnoe border crossing joins Romania at the town of Siret (near Suceava) and Ukraine at the village of Porubnoe (near Chernivtsi).

Walking across this border is not permitted. However, there are frequent queues to cross, and one can ask the drivers waiting there. Be sure to explain that crossing on foot is not possible and, if coming from Ukraine, say you have no cigarettes (these being common contraband at this crossing).
