Hitching out
South towards Slovakia
If you want to hitchhike from Nowy Sącz to Slovakia, you should take a bus from the PKP railway station to Piwniczna, a village some 10 km away that is near the border. Get out at the Piwniczna bus stop, then walk further along the road. You can hitchhike along the road after the Biedronka supermarket (where many Slovaks come for shopping). Get a lift at least as far as the Slovak town as Stará Ľubovňa.
