== Hitching Out ===== Northwards [[Zürich]], [[Bern]], [[Basel]] ===The motorway starts at ''Militärstrasse'' and there is plenty of space to stop. Cars will see you very rather late, but it still works pretty good. The next nearest bus station stop is ''Kasernenplatz'' but you . You can also there walk from the town center. The best option is to cross the road to stand on the highway in front of the bus stop area (right before "Kasernenplatz", after the corner); cars are certainly more willing to stop there than further straight.

You can also take any bus from ''Kasernenstrasse'' to ''Emmenbrücke Sprengi''. The problem is that lanes are splitted split quite early before getting onto motorway A2 and , the outer lane goes going to Bern or Zurich and the inner lane goes going southwards. It will be difficult for cars on the inner lane to pull out and pull in when the traffic is busy. It is better to follow the motorway direction, get to bus stop ''Wiggenhof on Grabenhof strasse ''Grabenhofstrasse'' and hitch southwards from there. The Wiggenhof stop is only good for weekdays though - on weekends nobody is going towards Lugano from here and you might get stuck for hours.

== Places to Visit ==You'll definitely want to walk around the old townLucerne has a dense network of buses and trolley buses. You can climb Inside the city wall which will give , a ticket is 2 CHF. Depending on where you go, you might consider taking a great view over boat on the city. There are also lake, which is just a lot of cable cars to the surrounding mountainlittle more expensive.

== Other Useful Info ==There is a camping site right at the lake at ''Lidostrasse''. The next bus stop is ''Verkehrshaus''. It's 10 CHF per tent and 10 CHF per person per night + taxes, but very clean and modern. You get free bus pass for the duration of your stay. There is plenty of places to freely camp little outside of Luzern but make sure you hide yourself because the Swiss don't like free campers.  {{Template:Cities Switzerland}}
