Yangon is the biggest city in Myanmar.
Hitching out
North towards Naypyidaw, Mandalay, Mae Sot (Thailand)
Take YBS bus number 37 (၃၇), direction Hlegu (လှည်းကူး) from Sule Square and get off at A Mhat Thone Lan Sone (Mingalardon) bus stop (17.06578°N 96.16669°E). Walk north-east approx. 500m to the junction where the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway starts and begin hitchhiking just past the zero-mile marker.
You can easily catch a car to Naypyidaw or even straight to Mandalay. If you are going to Mae Sot, you can hitch from the junction on highway 1 towards Bago.
