Puerto Limon is the capital of the province of Limon. The caribean zone of Costa Rica is often seen as totaly different to the rest of the country. Mulatos dominan the cit and the south/easter part of Costa Rica.

There is a bus station and a Texaco Gas gas station. Each car heading south passes by there. It's kind somewhat of red light district and people warn you if you hitchhike there. So watch out a bit , so be attentive, especially [[hitchhiking at night|at night]].
