Walking across the bridge isnot permitted. Both Romanian and Bulgarian passportcontrol is done in a single office on the Bulgarianend of the bridge. Under no circumstances shouldanybody cross this bridge on foot. There is a lot ofspace to stop cars before they pass over the river. Itis very dangerous (small path, too windy, lots of fasttraffic, high above river, etc.)
