The roundabout for east or west directions is some 5 kilometers directly south from the middle of the city.
There are two ways to go east or west, either on the N6 national road or on the motorway. Taking the motorway may require taking a ride to the [[péage ]] (tollboth) further south and hitching from there.
If a Casablanca-bound car stops and you wish to go only as far as Rabat, be sure to ask the driver if he knows where to stop to leave you as close as possible to the Rabat city centre.
