From there, it is very relatively easy to hitchhike toward towards [[Šiauliai]]([[Lithuania]]) and other destinations in this direction, although sometimes, especially in [[Lithuaniawinter]], the road can be pretty empty and points beyondone can get stuck there, as [[User:Sigurdas|Sigurdas]] has experienced.* From RIX airport, try getting a lift from asking drivers of cars registered as 'with Lithuanian number plates ("LT'"). * Take a tram #10 towards ''Bišumuiža'' and get out off at the stop ''Ziepniekalna iela''. You will see a [[petrol station]] just around the corner. Very few cars are actually going to [[Lithuania]]. Focus from there, although you can still focus on the registration plates marked 'LT'. From the oil station, do Do not refuse a short lift as there is one gas petrol station 20km 20 km further away to lead you where one can get good rides straight to Vilnius , Kaunas, or Kaunas/even Polandand further. You can walk there, but possibly there is although you might as well take a nice bus or a minibus you can take. You keep on going Continue until there is a crossroad with the [[on-ramp]] to ''A7'', there follow the highway then hitchhike towards [[Jelgava]].

===North towards [[Pärnu]], or [[Tallinn]] ([[Estonia]])===Take a tram #6 from the city center (for example, from a stop called ''Merķeļa iela'') to the final stop called ''Jugla'' - there you will find the a road to the north including , you will see there a petrol station for asking, traffic-lightlights, a bus stop (and "McDonald's (" in case you want to go to the toilet).It is not the best idea to hitchhike after the speed limit road sign (70 ) - there, cars are already going quite fast , and stopping a car there can cause a crash. Note, that about 750 metres farther from the traffic lights (after crossing the bridge) from the traffic light there is a nice big layby [[rest area|lay-by]] where cars can stop. If you're heading for to [[Estonia]] have an ''EST'' sign - it will make all go a lot quicker.

===South-East towards [[Daugavpils]], and [[Belarus]] ===Take the bus #18 to ''Pagrieciens uz Darziniem''. You'll be at ''Maskavas Iela'' near traffic lights, where cars drive slowly and you easily get a ride. ==Language==''Darba diena'' means weekday, ''Sestdiena'' means Saturday and ''Svētdiena'' means Sunday.
