When hitchhiking from '''Pécs''' to [[Budapest]], take a local bus, e.g. 2 or 2A to ''Budai Állomás'' bus stop. Although the road 6/E73 goes straight through Pécs, you simply won't get a ride inside the city. At ''Budai Állomás'' there is a crossroad with a traffic light. Cross, walk towards the direction of Budapest, downhill. Start hitching when you passed the petrol station, and you are at the other side of the valley, under the bus stop sign. That is where you are the most visible. The M60 motorway , it is already just finished and local hitch-hikers use it frequently. Take the bus 41 until the last stop /Reménypuszta/, there's the 58th road. Follow it for 500 meters and you'll find the toll to Budapest.
