Hitchhikernick - hitched from Vienna airport to Kitzbuhel in January 2024, took me 3 days which is a lot slower than expected. Very slow going at the service stations on the highway west of Gratz and north of Villach, waited at both for more than 10 hrs even though I was well dressed, clean and had ski gear. Once I got to the mountain area it was much easier with average waiting time of 10 mins.
